Lafayette and West Lafayette are separated by the Wabash river, and are home to more than 92,000 people. In addition, another 38,000 people call West Lafayette home when Purdue University is in session. |

| Lafayette is located on I-65, 120 miles south of Chicago, and 60 miles north of Indianapolis. The city has large shopping centers, and plenty of outdoor activities for the family. Currently there is no air carrier service to the airport. Many travelers choose to drive to either the Indianapolis international airport, or the Chicago O'Hare International Airport. There are shuttle services available to both airports. Lafayette Limo provides service between Lafayette and Indianapolis, and Express Air Coach provides service between Lafayette and Chicago O'Hare. |

The city has a substantial manufacturing base, with Subaru, Toyota, Caterpillar, Eli Lilly, Staley, Wabash National, Alcoa, and other factories providing many jobs.
